OUR MISSION

The St Andrew’s School Foundation, in its role as a major shareholder of St. Andrew’s School Limited, serves as a support vehicle for the School and is committed to its long-term best interest and its continued success as a leading educational institution in the region. The Foundation raises funds to provide world-class facilities, financial assistance to students in need, and assistance in the professional development of its faculty. The Foundation also encourages lasting relationships with the alumni and friends of St Andrew’s School, and the Bahamian community at large.

OUR VISION

The Foundation works to assist the School in becoming financially self-sustaining, allowing it to continue successfully in perpetuity. The Foundation also strives to enhance the educational programmes and opportunities by providing grants arising from donations, endowment funds and similar charitable contributions, and by partnering with St Andrew’s School to create an environment that supports the missions of each, for the benefit of the students of today as well as tomorrow.

Our Programmes

Primary Art Programme - Through the contributions of a single remarkable donor, we have founded a Primary Years Art Programme with its own teacher, classroom, and supplies - adding an important dimension to the educational experience.

New Cafeteria & Auditorium - With so many of the St Andrew's fmaily struggling to keep their children with us, we will hold off on this expenditure until a more opportune time. We are striving to re-start this project in the near future, and are continuing to accept donations towards this project.

The Annual Giving Fund - NEW! - The Annual Fund uses your donations to bridge the gap between the tuition and the acutal cost of a St Andrew's School education. This fund is used annually towards the School's greatest needs.

Scholarship Endowment Fund - Each scholarship for a single academic year totals approximately $15,000. We are seeking large, one-time payments for this Endowment Fund so that a student may be assured of their place in St Andrew's School from Years 10-13.

Current Year Scholarships - We also accept donations for scholarships for each academic year. This allows our donors who are unable to fund an endowment scholarship to make a difference to a student each year.

Hardship Endowment Fund - One of the newest aspects of our fundraising is the Hardship Endowment Fund. For families going through extraordinary times of financial hardship, a Hardship Loan will allow the students to remain ni the school they know and love. Each loan provides a qualifying student with 25% of 6 trimesters' tuitions.
